GUTIERREZ SLON, Juan Antonio  e  MOYA ABURTO, César. Indigenous Peoples and the Costa Rican State: Dispute over Rights and Territorial Control. Rev. Rup. [online]. 2018, vol.8, n.2, pp.169-192. ISSN 2215-2989.  http://dx.doi.org/10.22458/rr.v8i2.2209.

This article seeks to put in perspective the demands of indigenous peoples against the Costa Rican State, mainly from their struggles for territory and autonomy in a context of more than forty years of demand for rights. It is discussed from the same resistance, denunciations, demands and proposals of indigenous peoples in a relationship shaped by the dispute with the institutionality of the State at a time when it seems not to address the agenda set by the indigenous territories of the country.

Palavras-chave : Territory; indigenous peoples; state; law, autonomy; indigenous movement.
