This Article analyze the “state of the art” of the digital economy in Uruguay, particular in terms of its relationship with the ecommerce and the develop of the FinTech sector. This is a sector that reflects the increasing importance of the digital economy in the last time as a propeller of the economy activity in a small developing country. Highlight power to contribute to it formalization and the financial and economic inclusion. The use of an exploratory and description methodology and a compilation of some relevant information related from various sources, recurring to the use of secondary quality and quantity variables. One of the conclusions found in this paper is that in Uruguay, instead of be a small developing country has one of the advance digitalization frameworks in Latin America, however, have important gaps and opportunities of improvement and developing items in the sector.
