This research intends to demonstrate the current link between community personalism developed by Emmanuel Mounier and the philosophical work of Paul Ricoeur, particularly in relation to the construction of his hermeneutics of the person. An analysis of Ricoeur’s view of the philosopher Grenoble is carried out in order to fulfill this purpose.

Subsequently, the main elements that constitute a person, according to this author, are addressed in this study. The research is concluded with some elucidations concerning the existing relationship between these thinkers in regard to the subject of the person.
