Abstract

CERDAS-RAMIREZ, Roberto. Nutrients extraction and productive behavior of moringa (moringa oleifera) with various levels of nitrogen fertilizer. InterSedes [online]. 2017, vol.18, n.38, pp.145-163. ISSN 2215-2458.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/isucr.v18i38.32673.

A study intended to evaluate nutrient extraction and productive behavior of Moringa was carried out in the County of Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, located at an altitude of 54 m and with a 1834 mm annual rainfall. The production of green and dry biomass, content and production of raw protein per hectare and nutrients extraction of Moringa, subjected to four nitrogen dosages per cut, with cuts of 49 days were evaluated: 33,4, 66,7, 100,0 and 133,4 kgN.ha-1. The yield of dry biomass varied with the dosage of N applied: 3483, 5482, 5917 and 6297 kgDM.ha-1.cut-1. The production of crude protein was: 355, 692, 758 and 810 kgCP.ha-1.cut-1, with 33,4, 66,7, 100,0 and 133,4 kgN.ha-1.cut-1. All nutrients are presented in suitable animal production quantities. It is recommendable to apply 133,4 kgN.ha-1.cut-1 with cuts of 49 days.

Keywords : Moringa; Moringa oleifera; nitrogen fertilization; protein per hectare; nutrients extraction.
