Quality Assurance (QA) in Higher Education Institutions has been a widely debated issue in Chile and Latin America during recent years. Considering this reality, this work's main goal is to this has as central purpose to briefly feature the different actions performed in a chilean university's campus within the scope of quality management. To achieve this objective, the "organizational praxis" will be presented as case study (systematized experience). Finally, the emphasis is put into unveiling the difficulties faced to implement QA actions. Furthermore, it aims to make evident and justify the unavoidable need to install these QA systems in an environment of high demands, defined in Chile by the Higher Education's challenging scenario and institutional accreditation processes that have been instated.
