Abstract

BAZANINI, Roberto; VILANOVA, Miguel Eugenio Minuzzi  and  RYNGELBLUM, Arnaldo Luiz. Scenario prospecting for teaching Management Philosophy: Business or practical wisdom?. Rev. Actual. Investig. Educ [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.3, pp.268-297. ISSN 1409-4703.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/aie.v22i3.52111.

The study aims to discuss the paradigms that guide the production of philosophical knowledge in the field of organizational studies and, as a result, the possible directions that the teaching and learning of the Philosophy of Administration discipline for Business Management courses can take in scenarios prospecting about the Brazilian reality, especially, in periods of acute crisis and post-crisis as the one resulting from COVID-19. Using the methodology of Rhetorical Criticism and the procedures of the Bazanini Method in Philosophy Teaching, these proposals, in consonance with the approach of Max Weber's comprehensive sociology, along with the Focus Group technique, the evolution, the peculiarities of the discipline were addressed, proposing the question: in the post-pandemic scenario, will it be possible to contemplate the humanistic and pragmatic aspects in the teaching-learning of the discipline of Philosophy of Administration with the Stakeholders Capitalism model as a reference? The results of the discussions refer to the idea that the pillars of the Stakeholder Capitalism model, in the ontological and epistemological perspective of the Stakeholder Theory model which is characterized by the positivist and utilitarian conception of the relationships between the agents involved in the enterprise, by omitting the non-pragmatic requirements from the social context, they constitute yet another intellectual fad, in which philosophy is replaced by mere rhetorical procedure and transformed into consoling philosophy. The contribution of this critical essay lies in analytically debating the prospecting of scenarios based on theory and the nuances of practical teaching-learning wisdom in the field of organizational studies.
