This essay is the result of the analysis Emmanuel Levinas’ works to the educational field in different research exercises in pedagogical key. It emerges as a possibility to consider critically on Education as a matter of transcendent relationship related to the fragility of the other who learns. The text tries to make questions about vertical teaching pedagogies, as an adaptation of knowledge that assimilates another from a thinking-being relationship. Product of this questioning, promote a welcome and a proximity, as categories of analysis that allow us to think about education as the relational encounter that overflows the act of thinking objectification, to place it in the scenarios of a radical alterity implicit in the infinite of other who learns.
