Abstract

The following paper is the result of the research project "Incorporation of musical strategies in scholar institutions promoting the Human Rights of childhood and the guidelines of the Study Programmes of Musical Education of the Ministry of Public Education", held between 2013 and 2016. This is an applied research with a qualitative focus with the participation of teachers of Musical Education of I and II cycle of the General Basic Education, from the Regional Direction of Education in Cartago, Costa Rica. The proceedings and techniques used in this research were: reading and analysis of documents, application of a diagnostic, presentations, develop and evaluation of workshops, assignations, non-participant observation and data systematisation. The achievements of this research encompass, data regarding the level of knowledge about topics of interest in the teachers, and some musical methodological strategies were observed including the Human Rights of childhood and the Study Programs of the Ministry of Public Education.Moreover, the materials prepared by the teachers were saved, and along the process the observations were done to the participants in their respective educative centres. The goal of those observations visits was to verify how the topics developed in the workshops were applied with the students, aiming that they become multipliers agents by sharing their knowledge to more teachers.
