Abstract

TEDESCO DA COSTA TREVISAN, Priscila Raquel  and  SCHWARTZ, Gisele Maria. Production of knowledge: a systematic review about motor creativity. Rev. Actual. Investig. Educ [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.1, pp.67-98. ISSN 1409-4703.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15517/aie.v18i1.31320.

The motor creativity has been proclaimed as a capacity of great relevance that has been instigating a vast field of knowledge. However, due to the scope of the aspects involved, there are still contents and meanings to be explored. Thus, this article aimed to investigate the scientific production about motor creativity. To this purpose, a survey was conducted in the journals of CAPES Portal - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior using the search for full articles in databases in the Health Science area, Physical Education and Sports subareas which contained the terms criatividade motora, motor creativity and creatividad motriz included exactly in their titles or as subject matter and only considering full papers publications in peer-reviewed journals. The content analysis evidenced two thematic categories, one of them referring to the prevalence of publications about creativity and its interfaces with the production of knowledge and another allusive to the themes covered in the publications about motor creativity. The results showed the scarcity of Portuguese publications, the prevalence of English articles and also, relevant themes in different areas including Psychology, Education and Physical Education. Publications related to childhood were prevalent and they were based on themes such pedagogical strategies, learning and psychological spheres. The importance of the creative development had also been emphasized in the sport and to the dance. Thereby, the results demonstrated that the terms criatividade motora, motor creativity and creatividad motriz involves interdisciplinary contents and condensed diverse and relevant themes to the educational areas. However, the scarcity of studies underlines the need for further researches in the area.

Keywords : motor creativity; physical education; research.
