The purpose of this article is to analyze some factors involved in the management of the learning assessment through some projects taking in undergraduate online programs making “in situ” practices, the main issues were the roles played by the teachers and guides through the assessment, they were taken into account both roles students and teachers in the project development and its results. They were involved students and teachers of different programs and cycles of the virtual system university. A qualitative approach was used with a study case, the content was analyzed in “focus groups”, they were applied 3 different scripts according to the role of the participants. Also the principles of grounded theory were applied for the analysis of the contents for each group. It was found that teachers lacked training to assess learning, the information between the participants involved in the implementation of assessment tools and grading was not properly managed there was also evidence suggesting that the students lack knowledge about the assessment process. The analysis of the results suggested that coordinated work is essential to improve the learning assessment process.
