A qualitative approach was used with a study case, the content was analyzed in “focus groups”, they were applied 3 different scripts according to the role of the participants. Also the principles of grounded theory were applied for the analysis of the contents for each group. It was found that teachers lacked training to assess learning, the information between the participants involved in the implementation of assessment tools and grading was not properly managed there was also evidence suggesting that the students lack knowledge about the assessment process.
