This article aimed to describe the socio-economic reality of Venezuelan university institutes from field research descriptive character and a non-experimental design field. The study is an transectional, we worked with a census population comprised a sample of one (1) director, sub-academic and administrative directors and eighty- eight (88 ) teachers Cabimas technological institutes and Maracaibo. The research technique used was the survey, using a questionnaire with 15 items, validated by 5 experts, and reliability (α) of 0.93 Cronbach. The technique of data analysis was the percentage frequency distribution. The results indicate a clear contextualization in the implementation of the plans of the nation in these institutions, which shows low relevance and relationship to the socio-economic reality of Venezuela. Recommended for contextualization with the socio-economic Venezuelan implement a migration strategy structure, towards the implementation of a matrix-type structure.
