The present paper explains the results of the design and validation of a questionnaire related with school failure, aimed at secondary school students. We worked with a sample of 200 students in the F.P.A Centre (Adult Education Centre, for its acronym in Spanish) Germà Colón, from Castelló de la Plana (Spain) during the school year 2010/2011. The instrument consists of 35 items, divided into four main dimensions (educational centre, classroom, teachers and personal and family status). Content validation is developed by an Expert Committee, the factor analysis to validate the construct and the reliability analysis of the questionnaire. The results presented good internal consistency of the instrument
