BARRIOS, Sara. Desarrollo  del  estado  y  la  conformación  de  la administración  pública en Costa Rica   de 1823 a 1917. Diálogos rev. electr. hist [online]. 2010, vol.11, n.1, pp.20-80. ISSN 1409-469X.

This  essay  analyzes  the  evolution  of  the  Costa  Rican  State’s  structure  using  political constitutions  and  decrees  of  the  SINALEVI.    So,  this  paper  studies  the  major transformations of the Costa Rican State through four stages. In that sense, it shows the increasing complexity of this State, the social demands associated to it, and the creation of a negotiating social space. In order to make such analysis, this essay pays attention to the conception of the State in every period.
