Abstract

We present 2 cases of bacterial endocarditis with vegetations in the pacemaker pockets and electrodes and in one of them, tricuspid valve involvement. The Pacing systems were removed under extracorporeal circulation. The leads were surrounded by fibrinous material and by firm fibrous tissue that fixed them to the atrial and ventricular walls and to the valvular apparatus. One patient underwent tricuspid valve replacement.
