Armed conflicts affect especially women, who are one of the most vulnerable groups of society. The aim of this paper is to analyze the perception of women in situations of displacement in three settlements located in the city of Medellin, regarding their health/disease situation, and its relationship to gender roles, for the years 2013-2014. To develop the research a qualitative approach was applied, using the Grounded Theory method. In conclusion, displacement is configured as an important experience in the construction of the meaning of health/disease of women and their families, this binomial is structured from factors like the individual experience, customs, the context in which they are immersed , and the responses that the State offers as solutions.
