Abstract

Under the fundamental pillars of university life have emerged that facilitate action spaces active students at the University of Costa Rica in activities that promote the health of people in different scenarios. Actions are conducted health promotion in various settings and locations of the national territory, among which are different centers (education, day for seniors, health care, work, public and home visits). In such places as students conduct issues arts, oral health, physical activity and exercise, hygiene, nutrition, environmental health, smoking prevention and other legal drugs/illegal, sexual and reproductive education, prevention of chronic diseases. The University of Costa Rica facilitates the learning of students in health promotion and disease prevention through the methodology of learning by doing. Although students achieve great personal tasks and professional training, to create teachable moments in populations, have weaknesses and need more resources.
