Retinopathy is one of the principle diseases in diabetic patients. Because of this sickness’ asymptomatic character, it can be diagnosed too late if one does not accurately screen all patients who are at risk. In reality, there are various modalities of treatment that will depend on the severity of the lesions at the retinal level. It is imperative that the general physician has solid knowledge of diabetic retinopathy in order to offer patients appropriate treatment or better, refer him/her to a specialist
