Fibromyalgia syndrome is characterized by chronic musculoskeletal pain that may be associated with other symptoms such as fatigue, sleep difficulties, cognitive dysfunction and depressed mood. The absence of specific diagnostic tests is a problem for medical diagnosis. From the forensic medical perspective, arises a great challenge when it tries of assess diseases as the fibromialgia, which is not contemplated in lists or scales of permanent injuries and determining if it reaches or not the degree of invalidity. This article aims to consider some useful aspects for the diagnosis and forensic evaluation of this disease as a cause of disability and / or invalidity.
