Body piercing is an activity which is more common everyday in our society, making it very important for general physicians, as well as for the specialists in Legal Medicine, to have a vast knowledge about the correct techniques of body perforation, the required cares and main complications of piercings. In today’s hospital practice, it is frequent to find people inquiring and asking either because they would like to get a piercing or because they already have one and it has had complications.
