On February 21^st, 2000, 4 high school students died and 37 minors were injured in a car accident in La Fortuna, Bagaces, Guanacaste. From the victim’s logical optic: the serious traumas and psycotraumas of the surviving parents, and the rest of their relatives, was of enormous proportions, that yet subsist and affect this community. All of them were victims of the events and the tragedies of that day, but they are revictimized twice: in the penal process that delayed more than two years and in facing the execution of the sentence which is still in process. The psychological consequences of this act and the jurisprudential treatment are exposed in this essay.
