The following scientific descriptive study analyzes the phenomenon posttraumatic stress disorder in adolescents from the age of ten to twenty years old, who have been victims of violence in its different forms. These patients have been evaluated in the Forensic Psyquiatry and Psycology Section in the Complejo de Ciencias Forenses in San Joaquin de Flores, Heredia, from November the first, 2002, to april the 30^th, 2003.
