The following is the case of a 9 yearold Costa Rican male child with angiostrongyliasis, who consulted due to an abdominal pain with year of evolution. The medical history of the child demonstrated deficiencies in his hygiene habits. The physical examination revealed pain in the right iliac fossa without any palpable mass. The serological test showed the existence of a relevant eosinophilia; the fecal stool analysis was negative. Yet, the boy suffered from anemia. The result of Morera Blood for angiostrongilos test was positive.
