Abstract

In the context of pharmacology education and as part of medical training, clinical simulation using various devices allows recreating the clinical experience without exposing patients, contributes to improving the development of skills for clinical practice and provides a safe and controlled environment for the use of drugs and the clinical evaluation of their effects. Other advantages are related to the development of teamwork and critical thinking in the student. Currently, clinical simulation is considered to be a very valuable technique due to its wide didactic utility, it is integrated as a substantive part of the activities that are implemented to teach pharmacology to students of Medicine at the University of Costa Rica.
