The accidental exposure to HBV encloses a high risk of the disease contagion. Its management includes: Preventive measures in patient management, vaccination and confirmation of workers immunity, use of immunoglobulins and vaccination after the accident; and availability of protocols for early reports and clinics for the management of accidents.
