We report the case of 36 years old female, with uterine and sigmoid colon perforation caused by a Tcu placed 14 years previously. She was asymptomatic. The management required an abdominal histerectomy and repair of the sigmoid colon, she also needed a temporary transverse colostomy with final satisfactory outcome. Uterine perforation by intrauterine devices, is an infrequent complication, in 15% of the cases it is associated with perforation of other internal organs, primarily the intestine.
