Amyloidosis is a multisystemic disease, originated by an abnormal protein folding which in turn generates its deposit and accumulation in different tissues.

At a cardiovascular level, amyloid is deposited in the myocardial tissue and thus generating the typical manifestations of the disease. It presents distinctive electrocardiographic and echocardiographic findings that provide invaluable help in the diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis.

In this article, a case of a patient with AL amyloidosis is presented. Said patient developed symptoms of heart failure, which later progressed into severe cardiovascular compromise. Furthermore, a review of the cardiovascular manifestations and the diagnosis of said pathology is presented.
