During the AquaRAP expedition (Conservation International –ConocoPhillips Venezuela) to the Gulf of Paria and the Orinoco Delta (Venezuela) (December 2002), a specimen of this brackish gobi (31.5 mm SL), was collected (31.5 mm SL) in Caño Pedernales of the Orinoco Delta (9º 51’ 25" N, 62º 10’ 42" W). This record extends considerably its distribution, from Massachussets to Florida including the Gulf of Mexico, and the eastern coast of Vnezuela. (Catalogue: MHNLS 15472). Ref.: J. Bohlke & C.
