INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Scope and policy

Journal scope

The Revista Teoría y Aplicaciones publishes original papers in mathematics, both theoretical and applied, or popular articles whose production is novel about traditional presentations of the topic. It publishes articles on applications of mathematics related fields. The original aspects of each item must be clearly expressed in writing by the authors.

Stringent peer reviewing: Articles submitted to the journal shall be handed over by the Editorial Board to between two and four anonymous referees specialized international, whose role is to criticize the text, suggest improvements, additions or amendments on the substance or form. If the manuscript is accepted, these suggestions will be forwarded to the author for the development of the final version of the text. The Editorial Board reserves the right to ask the authors seem useful modifications or reject the publication of an article. The Editorial Board shall, in the interest of readers, the order of publication of the articles.

Form and preparation of manuscripts

Authors should email their article, along with a letter signed by all authors, in PDF format to the Editor or a member of the Editorial Board to be submitted for review. Only once the article is accepted, the author will send the final document containing the possible improvements and corrections suggested by referees, which contains the source file in the processor used. We do not return original articles, CD-ROMs or diskettes.

Magazine Editor uses standard LaTeX version 2e, to edit it. We recommend using the same processor and the same version to speed up the editing process and therefore the publication of the article. When using other word processors, the speed of publication of the article depends on the difficulty and speed to transcribe it in LaTeX 2e. In addition, the Editor reserves the right to postpone the publication of an article that does not follow the rules established or is not present in LaTeX 2e.


If the author sends the final version of the article in another processor than LaTeX 2e (for example, in Word or WordPerfect) will be charged $ 10 to spend each page of the document to LaTeX 2e, in case the processor used is Scientific WorkPlace or Scientific Notebook, you charge a fee of $ 2 per page. This right must be paid in cash or check payable to FUNDEVI, and must accompany the submission of the final version of the article.

Dimensions: height 20 cm, width 12.4 cm, font: Times New Roman, font size: 11pt. You can use the macros:

The article can be submitted in Spanish or English.

Every article must contain a summary in Spanish and English abstract. In addition, key words in both languages ​​and the Mathematical Subject Classification (see http://www.ams.org/msc/). They charged $ 10 to translate the abstracts or keywords, or search for Mathematical Subject Classification.

The bibliography should be complete and clear. The same must strictly follow the following format as a book, article, paper, etc.. (note the use of upper / lower case, the use of punctuation, order of information, etc.; for Internet documents should indicate the date and time of consultation):

The citation within the text can be done following the usual \ cite L TEX format or using Lebart & Salem (1988), Anderson et al. (1993) and Piza (1998) (note that for one or two authors used the surnames of the authors separated by the & symbol, and for three or more authors use et al.).

It is recommended that when using LaTeX, apply the following commands:

Use: \ title, \ author, \ abstract, \ section, \ subsection, \ thebibliography
To cross-reference list use: \ figure \ table, \ equation, \ eqnarray, \ cite, \ ref, \ label, \ caption
You can insert figures in PostScript (*. PS), Encapsulated PostScript (*. EPS), Bitmap (*. BMP) and Windows Metafile (*. WMF). You can also include figures in LaTeX picture format for which you can use a utility such as TexCad, PicTeX or another.
When using "fonts" or "macros" special, they should accompany the article source file.
The "macro" revista.cls. used by the editor is available on request from the user or the site of the journal, the "macro" contains the margins and headers to use, automatic converts LaTeX labels from English to Spanish, and allows a summary in Spanish and abstract in English.

Sending of manuscripts

As part of the submission process, are required authors to indicate that your submission meets all the following elements, and agreeing to have shipments that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the author.
The article will be sent in LaTeX 2e (standard LaTeX) using the macro revista.cls.
If the paper has been created using other processor (Microsoft Word, Corel WordPerfect), the author agrees to pay a conversion right of $ 10 per page.
