Scope and policy

Journal scope

Communicación publishes the results of academic research in the areas of Humanities, Language, Literature, Communication, Arts, Philosophy and Education.

Form and preparation of manuscripts

The Communicación Journal publishes original documents in the fields of the humanities (literature, language, linguistics), the arts and education.
The sections of the magazine are: articles, forum, sketches, lectures, rescue of documents, reviews, features, interviews and essays.


BACKGROUND ISSUES


Manuscripts should have a primarily academic or scientific nature, the result of research in the area of ​​interest. They also published original literary creations. Under no circumstances they will be accepted those documents where it can be shown to exist verbatim transcript of another work (plagiarism).
The documents seeking to be included in the articles section, have a minimum of ten pages and a maximum of twenty-five. The introduction of the manuscript must appear explicitly the research project which provided it (ie, if it comes from a research project, fundcomental issue) and your ncome (if you own).
Contributions may be written in Spanish, English or Portuguese.

MATTERS OF FORM


The manuscript should be typed in Microsoft Word processor, Times, 12 pt., With spacing of 1.5 pts. and margins of 2.54 cm. on all four sides of the sheet (up, down, left and right).
The texts must be typed indented without spaces between each paragraph. They must also accompany those signs that do not appear in the processor.
Appointments, notes and references must follow the APA system in Spanish, Third Edition.
The manuscript should include a summary, written in complete sentences, no special signs and one hundred and fifty words or less along with a corresponding abstract and title of the article in English.
It should also include six to ten keywords in Spanish and English, which will allow the placement of their articles using electronic search systems. These keywords should be located in a recognized thesaurus, whose ncome is included at the end of the manuscript. Thesauri are recommended the following:

 

The author can use others of their choice, provided they are of recognized quality and indicated in the document sent.
If the author wishes to illustrate their work with a specific graphic expression, you must make this known to the management of the magazine, and include the material, whether in manuscript or in a separate file. This material should be included in a high quality resolution (1080 p.).
Also, when you suggest or include a graphic image is intended, shall specify the conditions of publication of the picture; Similarly, it is necessary to include credit and image descriptions and submit to the direction of the magazine a statement of permission for the use of the document. If the conditions of publication of the picture can not accommodate communication, this will let you know the author.
The proposal must be accompanied by a summary of life of the author of maximum two pages, which must be attached in a separate file.
The documents submitted must be original and must not have been submitted for consideration to any other publisher or publication organ. Along with the manuscript, sent to the address of the Journal (morivera@itcr.ac.cr) a signed declaration, stating the above conditions, also in a separate manuscript file is required.
The originality of the article is understood as the author's own production, the content has not been published in whole or in part in any other medium.
The manuscript submitted should include, in the end, the home address (postal or electronic), telephone number (of) author (s) and the ncome of the thesaurus used.
The manuscripts received will undergo double blind opinion (without the author's ncome), and will be sent to a third member of the Board of Reviewers for a final opinion when so required. Communication also resorts to external evaluators to rule proposals. If the opinion is positive, the process continues with the Editorial Board, who discusses and determines its final publication. His decision is final.
Presupposes not receive a document that has been accepted for publication.

The evaluation process of a document shall be ten weeks minimum. Once the document is reviewed by external peers, you have any of the following conditions:
Approved for publication without corrections.
But it requires corrections approved by the author.
It failed, not published.

Sending of manuscripts

As part of the submission process, authors / more are required to check that your shipment meets all the items shown below. The author / s will be returned consignments that do not meet these guidelines.

  1. The request has not been previously published, nor has been submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  2. The text adheres to the style and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines / s, which can be found in About the Journal.

  3. If submitting to a section of the journal peer-reviewed, you must make sure that the instructions enAsegurando a Blind Review) they have been followed.

  4. The document is sent editable Word format.

Manuscripts should be sent to the address of the Journal by e-mail (morivera@itcr.ac.cr) or by regular mail magazine (recom@itcr.ac.cr) with their attachments. The publication is biannual and dictcominación documents are received throughout the year.
